Q: Do you work with Architects & Designers? |
|
| Yes. If
you have a design for furniture or cabinetry from an architect or
interior designer, we'd be happy to take a look at it and craft your
project. If you'd prefer us to work directly with your
design professional, we can do that as well. And if you're in need
of an architect, or interior designer for your project, we can recommend
some we've worked with in the past.

|
Q: Do you collaborate with other artists & mediums? |
|
| We've worked
with glass, metal, and ceramic artisans in the past. If you would
like to incorporate other mediums in your project, we'd be happy to
collaborate with professional, reputable artists.

Q: Do you do repairs or refinishing? |
|
| Our
studio has very limited space, and we really love the creative process,
so repairs to antiques are generally avoided. On occasion, we will
take on a piece that needs a proper mending, but we strongly advise you
to speak with a reputable & knowledgeable historian or appraiser, to
assess the ramifications of a repair, prior to performing one.

| Q: What's the price of your cabinetry? | |
| Clients often ask, “How much does
your cabinetry cost?” It’s a simple question, but it doesn’t have a simple answer. It’s kind of like asking, “How much does a car cost?” Consider the variables: Do you want a sports car or a minivan? Four-wheel drive? Leather upholstery, fabric, or vinyl? The same applies to cabinetry. The size of the cabinet, the wood you want, the type of doors or drawers,
their thickness, internal options and accessories, and the type of finish all affect the price. In the end, your budget is the biggest factor, for cabinetry as
well as for a quality automobile. We’re able to build custom cabinetry to suit a variety of budgets, with features and options that will be pleasing and durable. This rule of thumb can help you begin your planning and budgeting: Our custom cabinetry typically costs between $250 to $650 per linear, or running foot of cabinet. A simpler way to think about it is $500 to $1,300 per foot of wall, which includes upper and lower cabinets. So, for example, a six-foot-long run of kitchen base and wall cabinets, or an entertainment center for that matter, may range from $2,900 to $7,800. The type of wood you want and the complexity of the design account for most of the difference in those prices. Brazilian rosewood is far more expensive than oak or maple. Baltic birch plywood costs more than medium-density fiberboard. Real-wood veneer can be more expensive than plastic laminate. A straightforward, simple design can cost less than one with lots of doors, drawers, and pullouts. Even hinges make a difference, some cost as little as $4 a set, or as much as $40. When you engage us to build custom cabinetry, you can be assured that: :: We will work closely with you throughout the design and planning, to be sure that we fully understand your needs and desires, and that you understand the options available. We will work with you to design cabinetry that fits your needs and budget, without cutting corners or skimping on quality. :: You will receive a firm, binding price as soon as you approve the plan for the cabinetry. As long as the plan remains unchanged, the price stays the same. (Changes you request after the work begins, known as change orders, may affect the price, however.) :: You will have a firm completion date. If we promise to deliver the cabinetry in 60 days, we’ll deliver. |

|
Q: Can you ship cabinetry across country? |
|
| Yes.
Shipping an entire kitchen full of cabinetry is actually much more cost
effective than shipping a single piece of furniture. Shippers
usually consider the distance for delivery first, and the bulk or volume
of the project second. On a large cabinetry project, the cost of
shipping across country usually is a small component of the overall
budget.

Q: How long will it take you to make my furniture/cabinetry? |
|
| Commonly called a "Lead" time, the duration between finalizing a design, and completion of the project varies tremendously depending on the complexity of the project; the availability of materials; and of course, the work we have in queue. Our lead time varies. Please call us at our studio 828_627_3948, to inquire about our current lead time. | |
