About the Instructors

Gregory Paolini designs and creates
some of the finest furniture in the world from a small workshop, nestled
in the mountains of Western North Carolina, . His work has been
featured in numerous books, magazines, and newspapers,
including the preeminent Fine Woodworking Magazine. In
addition to making sawdust and wood shavings, Gregory has authored
freelance articles and advice columns for several publications, including Woodwork,
Fine Woodworking, and Cabinetmaker magazines.

Courses offered at Textures on Main
will be taught together with John Gernandt
John Gernandt Owns and operates Textures on Main, in Waynesville, NC. Gregory & John will both instruct the woodworking classes at Textures simultaneously, giving attendees insight into the styles and techniques of two accomplished woodworkers. In addition, attendees will benefit from the increased personal attention, that two instructors can provide. Following the pathway established by both his great-grandfather and grandfather, John has been building furniture for thirty years. Making furniture has widened his perspective on art history and his appreciation for the furniture masters of the past. |
