Our carved mottos are the result of our collaboration with a local Western North Carolina sign maker. Crafted in solid quarter sawn white oak, which is naturally weather resistant, we use the traditional fuming process to add a subtle coloring to the wood, just as was done over 100 years ago, and then we protect each motto with a durable hand rubbed finish. T The classic arts & crafts font is pictured to left, and a Dard Hunter inspired font is also available. Finished dimensions are 3 in. high, 15 in. long, 3/4 in. thick. A recessed keyway on back makes it easy to hang your motto anywhere. Inverted pyramids are carved into the corners, and our signature Glasgow rose finish off each piece.
