Greene & Greene inspired hall table |
|
Renown architects Charles and Henry Greene used natural ash almost exclusively in the Tichenor house, in Long Beach, California. It was one of their earlier works, in a primitive stage of their design, which we like to think would blend perfectly in a mountain or cottage "get away". Classic Greene & Greene "cloud lift" details adorn the stretchers, while the indented and pillowed legs reminiscent of the Blacker House, keep this piece well grounded. Environmentally conscious walnut offset pegged joints, in lieu of the traditional ebony, lock everything together for perpetuity. The hand rubbed oil and wax finish is buffed to a satin luster for appearance and longevity. Pictured in natural ash, walnut |
